My Story
My name is Pamela, and I have allergies.
I have food allergies, seasonal allergies, plant allergies, pharmaceutical allergies, and compound allergies. I have reactions to most fresh fruit, nuts, pollen, Aloe Vera, Penicillin, latex and prolonged exposure to plastic. – yes. Super extra, right? Needless to say, shopping for hair and skin care products was not easy.
The Problem
I had my first allergic reaction when my go-to natural hair cream altered their recipe to include Aloe Vera extract. Unfortunately, after using the product for two years, my hands, face, and scalp were severely affected. Traumatized, I knew I needed something different.
The solution
I began to research ingredients, creating recipes, and making test batches in my own kitchen. I knew I was on to something when I started getting attention from strangers asking for product suggestions.
Yummy Fat Kurls was Born
Creation
I created a YouTube Channel and posted styling videos using my own products and in August 2017, I offered my first product, Yummy Custard for sale on my website.
Enriching and styling natural hair have been my passion for over 20 years. I truly believe natural ingredients are the key to cultivating healthy skin and hair. I am committed to exceeding your expectations.
